MiniMax Design Puts H3 Video in a Desktop Workstation

Design is a downloadable desktop app — a creation-agent workbench around the H3 video model — not a browser tool. H3 itself generates at most 15 seconds of video, up to 2K, with native audio.

What MiniMax Design actually shipped

This is not an H3 launch. H3 itself launched around 31 July and early August. What arrived on 20 August is the client around that model.

MiniMax Design is a desktop workbench. A user describes an intent. An agent breaks the job into tasks and orchestrates storyboard, shots, keyframes, video, music, captions, and edits. The point of the product is that chain, not a single generate button in a tab.

There is a 3D director console. Camera and poses set there become storyboard reference for generation. There is also a skills library of templates.

Do not describe Design as a web app. Coverage that implies a browser tool has the surface wrong. You download it.

Pricing is not in the public facts used here. Do not invent a plan, a credit pack, or a per-second rate for Design.

If you already write video prompts that actually move, treat Design as the place those prompts get sequenced, not as a new model with a new grammar. H3 is still the generator.

Why a 15-second model needs a workstation
