Nvidia reported fiscal 2027 second-quarter revenue of $96.2 billion on 26 August 2026, up 106% from a year earlier. The company guided fiscal third-quarter revenue to $108.0 billion plus or minus 2%, its first outlook above $100 billion a quarter.
How Nvidia got to $96.2 billion in fiscal Q2
The quarter ended 26 July 2026. Official revenue is $96.221 billion. That is up 18% from $81.615 billion in the first quarter and up 106% from $46.743 billion a year earlier. Data Center was $89.0 billion, up 18% quarter over quarter and 117% year over year. Those are the only top-line figures that belong in the changelog.
GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins were both 75.0%. GAAP net income was $59.688 billion. GAAP diluted earnings per share were $2.46; non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were $2.22. GAAP operating expenses were $8.408 billion. GAAP operating income was $63.734 billion. The Verge rounded profits to $59.7 billion and framed the print as Nvidia becoming a hundred-billion-dollar-a-quarter company. Amazon, Apple, and Alphabet have already crossed that quarterly-revenue mark, The Verge noted. Nvidia has not, until this guide.
Jensen Huang's line was short: "AI has reached its inflection point. It's doing useful work. Its tokens are productive and profitable. Now, compute is revenue." He said demand is accelerating and that Vera Rubin, "now in full production, was built to power exactly this moment." Colette Kress, executive vice president and chief financial officer, posted separate commentary on Nvidia's investor site. The earnings call was set for 2 p.m. Pacific time the same day.
If you already logged Amazon adding 2 million Nvidia GPUs to AWS, keep the hyperscaler order and this quarter on two lines. The Amazon add is a 2027–2028 unit count. This file is Nvidia's Q2 print and Q3 guide.
Nvidia returned about $26.0 billion to shareholders in the quarter through repurchases and dividends. About $99.0 billion remained on the repurchase authorization. The next quarterly cash dividend is $0.25 per share on 1 October 2026, to shareholders of record on 10 September 2026. Do not invent a buyback-pace target beyond those two cash figures.
Why Nvidia's $108 billion guide assumes no China data-center compute
The third-quarter outlook is $108.0 billion of revenue, plus or minus 2%. Nvidia is not assuming any Data Center compute revenue from China in that outlook. That exclusion is the geographic fact in the release. It is not a China-sales history and not a license forecast. Do not invent a China dollar figure the company did not print.
GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins are expected at 74.0%, plus or minus 50 basis points. GAAP operating expenses are expected at about $9.2 billion; non-GAAP operating expenses at about $9.0 billion. For the full fiscal year 2027, Nvidia expects GAAP and non-GAAP tax rates between 16.0% and 18.0%, excluding discrete items and material tax-environment changes.
Edge Computing, which includes gaming, was $7.2 billion in the second quarter, up 13% from the prior quarter and 27% from a year ago. The Verge said that slice accounted for just $7.2 billion of the print and relayed Nvidia's acknowledgment of slower consumer PC sales tempered by elevated memory and systems prices. Component shortages continue to lift consumer GPU prices, The Verge added, and Nvidia had already warned of AI-chip price hikes ahead of the report.
If your 2027 rack budget already prices Nvidia's 15% AI server hikes, keep list-price and this earnings guide on two lines. The hike story is what racks may cost. This story is the $96.2 billion quarter and the $108.0 billion guide.
What Vera Rubin and the $500 billion financing line sit next to the print
Nvidia said the Vera Rubin platform is ramping into full production, with racks running at CoreWeave, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and Nebius. Those are named partner sites, not a published rack count. Do not invent one.
The company also announced strategic partnerships to establish independent compute financing platforms with Apollo, BlackRock, Blackstone, Brookfield, Goldman Sachs, and KKR to mobilize over $500 billion of third-party capital for AI infrastructure over time, subject to definitive agreements. Over $500 billion is a mobilization target, not cash received this quarter. Subject to definitive agreements is the hedge. Leave it on the page.
If you already follow Anthropic's $45 billion Nscale Vera Rubin deal in West Virginia, keep that campus contract and this company-wide print apart. Nscale is one customer's build. $96.2 billion is Nvidia's quarter.
The useful pin is: on 26 August 2026 Nvidia reported $96.2 billion of fiscal Q2 2027 revenue, up 106% year over year; Data Center was $89.0 billion, up 117%; GAAP net income was $59.688 billion; EPS was $2.46 GAAP and $2.22 non-GAAP; gross margin was 75.0%; Q3 revenue is guided at $108.0 billion plus or minus 2% with no China Data Center compute assumed; Q3 gross margin is 74.0% plus or minus 50 basis points; opex is about $9.2 billion GAAP and $9.0 billion non-GAAP; about $26.0 billion went back to shareholders; Vera Rubin is in full production at named cloud partners.
If you buy Nvidia compute, the operational question is the China-free $108.0 billion guide and the 74.0% margin band, not a slogan that Nvidia had a good quarter.
